Model Description:

The Stuart No.8 shares many common parts with the Stuart 7A, it is a relatively simple engine to build requiring only a 3 1/2 in. lathe. This model is supplied as a complete set of castings, materials, fixings and drawings.

In general full sized horizontal engines were not arranged to reverse, this is why we do not offer reverse gears for our horizontal engines.

Cast Iron Boxbed, soleplate, cylinder, valve chest and cover, front and rear cylinder covers, piston, eccentric sheave, 3 9/16 in. flywheel.
Gunmetal Slide valve, eccentric strap, connecting rod, valve operating block, glands, crosshead, crankshaft bearings.
Steel Crankshaft, piston and valve rods, all materials for valve gear.
Sundries Detailed drawings, cylinder lagging, gasket material, gland packing, “O”?ring, fixings pack.
