Machined Kits |
Many of our customers are fascinated with steam engines but do not have
access to the equipment necessary to machine a set of castings. For such
people we offer a range of machined kits. The components are turned, milled,
drilled and threaded allowing you to finish the model with no more than a
set of spanners, a screwdriver, a selection of small files and a paint
brush.
Each Machined Kit comes complete with a signed certificate of
authentication, containing the individual number of the model together with
the date of sale. This information is then copied into our ledger, so that a
record is kept for posterity, of the original owner of every Stuart Model we
ever make.
Machined kits make ideal gifts for anyone with an interest in 'how things
work' or for someone who wants to take a break from making plastic model
kits. Once completed they make fascinating display models which can be run
either under steam or using a small compressor.
